BrickStor HDR for Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC)
High performance, scalable CSfC data-at-rest storage for the US and our allies
Introducing BrickStor HDR-S
RackTop’s BrickStor HDR-S is a secure data storage solution designed to meet the NSA’s Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) Program requirements. The CSfC Program was created to allow the use of commercial technologies in layered solutions that protect classified National Security System (NSS) data. BrickStor HDR-S complies with DAR 5.0 and offers the same features and performance as the HDR-N model but with hardware and software that have undergone the rigorous CSfC certification process. When powered off, the system and data are considered unclassified and can protect up to Top Secret data.
Benefits
BrickStor HDR-S is a cost-effective solution with flexible form factors and scalable capacities for projects with high-speed data recorder requirements or secure network-attached storage (NAS) at the tactical edge. The solution supports high-speed Ethernet connectivity with security and has a unique scale-out design that supports the aggregation of multiple data recorders into a single, logical recording system. The design is optimized for performance with two layers of data-at-rest encryption: the outer layer utilizes FIPS NVMe self-encrypting drives at line rate, and the inner layer employs AES-NI accelerated FIPS AES-256 encryption for fast and robust protection.
BrickStor HDR-S was built to meet the evolving need for commercial solutions to protect classified data in austere locations, across borders, and with our allied partners.
Features

Multi-Protocol RF Ingest
Brickstor HDR-S supports multi-protocol RF ingest, enabling seamless integration into various environments. It offers compatibility with Multicast UDP, Unicast UDP, and VITA 49 over Ethernet, allowing users to capture wideband RF signals using standardized IP-based data flows. This approach ensures interoperability across systems and simplifies managing high-throughput signal acquisition.

Record & Playback Functionality
With built-in recording and playback capabilities, Brickstor HDR-S allows users to capture and store wideband signals in real-time and then replay them at full fidelity whenever needed. This eliminates the need to recapture signals, enabling users to analyze, test, and validate RF environments repeatedly and consistently. It’s ideal for lab environments, field deployments, and everything in between.

Cyber Secure NAS Integration
The solution contains built-in cybersecurity and NAS (network-attached storage) functionalities at its core. Utilizing dual layers of FIPS AES-256 encryption allows users to establish a strong and quantum-resistant security framework. Users have the flexibility to manage encryption keys either through an internal key manager or an external key manager that complies with KMIP standards, ensuring adherence to enterprise-level security protocols.

Massive Storage in 1U
Brickstor HDR-S is designed for high-density environments and offers 480 TB of raw storage capacity within a single rack unit. This capacity is perfect for capturing and storing large RF datasets while maintaining speed and reliability. Its scalable architecture allows for expansion as data needs increase, and the compact 1U form factor minimizes the physical footprint in your data center or deployment environment.

Blazing Network Speeds
With up to 800 Gb/s of network connectivity in just 1U, the solution is ideal for high-bandwidth RF ingest and playback. It allows for the aggregation of multiple systems to achieve Terabit speed, ensuring efficient data handling. Various NIC options provide flexibility for diverse network architectures, enabling users to eliminate network bottlenecks continuously and keep up with ultra-wideband data streams.

Deployment Flexibility
Brickstor HDR-S is designed for easy integration into a wide range of environments, occupying just 1U of rack space. Brickstor supports clustering for larger or distributed deployments, and ruggedized options are available in harsh or mobile conditions. Its versatility makes it ideal for various applications, including ground stations, electronic warfare test labs, telemetry ranges, and more.

User-Friendly Management Tools
The solution offers an intuitive web-based GUI and a REST API, making system configuration and monitoring straightforward for users of all skill levels. Its advanced scheduling capabilities allow for autonomous record and playback operations, enabling seamless task management without constant oversight. Comprehensive logging and auditing features ensure data integrity and compliance, providing users a reliable way to track changes and maintain accountability in their operations.

Data Portability
Hot-swappable Disk Packs are designed to efficiently offload and securely carry data from the field, ensuring reliable data management. Users can easily export data to an external mount point, facilitating seamless integration with other systems. Brickstor HDR incorporates detailed logging and auditing features that uphold data integrity and compliance, assuring users that their data is accessible and protected.
